How to Get the Most Out of Your Electric Scooter's Battery

Electric scooters are a fantastic way to get around and they are really gaining a lot of popularity as people realize just how much money they can save on gas, insurance, parking and car repairs. Add to that the fact that traffic is a thing of the past for you as you sail down bike lanes and commuter trails.

It is likely that you will need to purchase an after market batter for your scooter, so here are some pointers on getting the most from your electric scooters battery:

• Your electric scooters battery should be recharged after every time you use your electric scooter. Don't wait for the battery to be run right down to no charge at all.

• If you have pedals on your scooter, always use them when you are riding up hill. It helps to ease the load on your scooter's motor and to increase the length of your electric scooters battery life.

• If you park your scooter outside, consider taking the battery indoors at night. Thieves are everywhere, and you don't want them to grab your battery, especially if you paid a lot of money for it.

• Always check the terminals and wires on top of your battery - at least once every few weeks to ensure there is no corrosion or leakage. Corrosion can cause a faulty connection with your battery cables, which will affect the performance of your battery. If you notice any corrosion, you can easily clean it with a small wire brush and a damp cloth.
